Each year, Grace is thrilled to celebrate with the families and friends of our senior graduates. We want to take this opportunity to brag on them a bit and give you a look at what their future plans are. Congratulations to all!

Alicen Ashbaugh

Alicen’s future plans consist of attending the University of Memphis at Lambuth in the fall and will start her studies to be a neonatal nurse. She has a long history and passion of riding horses. In particular, she has been a very successful barrel racer! She is also artistic and loves to draw. Grace UMC will continue praying for Alicen that this new chapter in her life is fulfilling and that the transition is smooth and seamless!

Bentlee Clarkson
Bentlee has been with Grace UMC for a long time, and we have watched her grow up and succeed in her life. We are so proud of her! She is planning on attending the University of Mississippi in the fall and will most likely major in Nursing. Bentlee graduates from USJ and has been involved in many activities during her time there. Some of her activities have included cheerleading, excelling as a student, and involvement in the successful music program at USJ.. We will continue to support, pray, and cheer on Bentlee in all of her future endeavors!

 Joseph Taylor
Joseph is an Honors graduate of Madison Academic High School. He will attend Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida majoring in Criminology. His first year, he will be participating in their First Year Abroad program in Valencia, Spain. Wow!  Joseph is a very determined young man, and has demonstrated that in a number of ways. He became a dedicated and successful cross country and track runner his freshman year of high school, even though he had never really ran before. And he continued through senior high and was very successful! Plus, he is an Eagle Scout and served on Teen Court through Juvenile Court. He truly is an ambitious guy! He’s currently working hard at his job as a Barista at Books-a–Million. As he likes to say, he is Joe of Joe Muggs! He loves to travel and has done a lot of traveling and hiking, with his family and friends. We look forward to seeing what new and interesting things are in his future, because he has a tendency to find incredible things to experience!

Rebecca Reed
Even though Rebecca isn’t a senior graduate, we wanted to take this opportunity to celebrate her, since she will not be with us for her senior year. Rebecca has been a member of The Hub since she came as a middle schooler and we are so proud of the young woman she has become and all that she has stretched into and invested in. Rebecca is still figuring out what her future plans entail, yet she has already been accepted into WKCTC (Western Kentucky Community Technical College)! She will take some core classes and AP classes there in the fall. Rebecca is an avid writer, has her own blog, and is passionate about photography. In fact, you can check out all of her cool stuff on www.redlyreed.com! You may have also seen her working at Durham Chiropractic or at the Jackson Escape Rooms too! She is indeed busy, successful, and has definitely figured out how to get out of her comfort zone! We will absolutely be praying for her and her transition in the next weeks and months ahead. We appreciate all she has invested in The HUB, and hope that she will continue into her next relationships with courage and inspiration. She is meant for big things!

Kaylen Williams
Kaylen has been accepted to and will be attending Union University as a vocal music education major. She received one of their top music scholarships, which is no surprise as she has been an All-West, All-State, Quad State, and Governors School performer in Tennessee. Kaylen has been a new addition to The HUB (Grace UMC’s Student Ministry) this year, but has been an invested and valuable member. Grace has especially appreciated her service on the Music Team on Sunday mornings. Kaylen also enjoys napping, watching Netflix, and eating anything with sugar in it. We hope we may see more of her since she will still be in Jackson in the future!
