Bio:

Dr. Barry Scott has been in the ministry fulltime since 1977 having served five previous appointments in United Methodist churches before being appointed as pastor of Grace United Methodist Church starting June, 2007.  He is a native of West Tennessee graduating from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1974 and Candler Seminary at Emory University in Atlanta , Georgia in 1977.  He received a Doctorate of Ministry from Oral Roberts Seminary in Tulsa , Oklahoma .  Dr. Scott is an accomplished children’s entertainer with skills as a puppeteer, magician, balloonist and humorist.  He has been asked to speak and perform for numerous churches and groups in a variety of settings.

Teresa, his wife of 34 years, is a Registered Nurse at Jackson Madison General Hospital .  His daughter, Hope, is a junior at Lambuth University .  His son, Jonathan, is a safety engineer working for Marathon Oil Company in Cattlesburg , KY.   The Scott family lives at 64 Stornaway Dr. , Jackson , Tn 38305 .
